1 - Do you do customs?
Not really. Once in awhile I may accept one or two but. I barely have time to get to products I want to make for myself most of the time.

2 - How old are you?
Just look at my profile card for that answer :P I don't hide my age and it isn't fake.

3 - Are you Asian?
No ^^; In fact that's part of why I had my rl photoup for so long -- the other part being, it's nice to have a face to associate with your char imo (I don't understand why people make such assumptions but oh well -- if it's because of my little group of friends that like to call me "blasian" - I think it's just because they enjoy annoying me ^^" ♥ them though)

4 - Why do you have so many accounts?
Honestly, I only intentionally made one ^^; Heru-san was my oldest which I forgot existed, & I had trouble logging Gin-chan which is what brought me to create Mistral :) I decided to use all of my dollies for creating for the reason I stated in my 'about'

5 - Who is that Afro guy I see you in rooms with all the time?
"That Afro guy"is my brother. His name is Drew but you'll often see I refer to him as Shinsuke. No, we aren't related by blood but I've known him since I was 17 & view him as the little bro I wish I had growing up. Please stop assuming there's something more than a platonic relation ^^' it really annoys me when people approach with this one.

1-7-18

Gosh, I really let a whole year go by without adding anything, ha ha :x in any case! I unfortunately did not make some of last year's dreams a reality, but I have replaced them with new ones that I have managed to attain already :) in any case, there is a strong possibility I'm going to end up a homeowner within the next 1 - 2 years, so I'm not terribly worried. I attended two events (Flosstradamus & David Guetta) over the last weekend by myself - it was a very new experience, especially alone. Originally I was on the fence about Flosstradamus cos I'm a weirdo about trap, although I liked a lot of his tunes so I'm glad I didn't pass this up! It was amazing; I danced so much ._. Guetta on the other hand, I am not as thrilled about. Not so much because of the music, but because the crowd closest to the stage was terrible. I was originally standing in front of center stage, but people behind me kept pushing forward ..it was so bad I was focused more on trying not to lose my balance than enjoying the DJs (there were a total of 4 including Guetta himself). Eventually I decided to leave that area, as the whole point of my being there was to dance ^^; the people who were pushing to get to the front were doing so simply to get good pictures/video and did not give a damn about anyone else around them. The night improved once I had space to breathe, though :)
I put Japanese studies on hold, but that's because I am pursuing my Masters instead. I am waiting around on pins and needles for a (hopefully) positive answer from my dream school. Anticipation is such a killer!

MASSIVE UPDATES WUU! Not really though, ha ha. Slowly as the years progress I find myself gone for longer and longer. But a lot of decently good things are happening in my life so that's a plus. I still haven't fully given up on creating as I can't just leave things unfinished >~> ...I think I'm gearing towards a niche product set. Anyway ~ news from 2016! Started studying Japanese in NYC last September. I pretty much picked the city because it's an excuse to be there more often. Plus, I think it will give me some more opportunities to network with people as I'd like to get into interpreting/translation work (the main reason I'm doing face to face lessons; I previously used other methods such as Rosetta Stone). Also, the place that I work at now is actually a really nice environment. I'm nearing my second year as a permanent employee, and I'm surprised at how much I've grown (from being a rep to a leadership role :3). The surprise I guess comes from the fact that this would be the first time that a direct superior actually believed in me/my intelligence enough to allow me to take on a leadership role. I am very soft spoken and not super chatty so I suppose this often translates to "you can't handle yourself, let alone others". It's nice, and I'm also learning a lot/putting some of the business aspects of my degree into practice. The only real downside is that I have to drive a little over 20 miles (each way) to/from work daily D: I hate driving with a passion. And I hate weather. Crossing my fingers that we get through this winter with a minimal amount of snow, ha ha ..my immediate plans for the moment are to save a massive amount of money by September hopefully, because I'd like to buy a condo. Anyway ~~that's about it on the personal goals front ^^ + I still managed to sneak in some creator goals.

The year is nearly over ~ I'm actually very excited because I'll be attending a NYE event I've wanted to visit for a few years now. It's put on by Dances of Vice; since my move to Jersey I've attended their yearly Valentine's masquerade. And I'll actually be in New York City proper :P I wonder how hectic it will be, ha ha. On a positive note I'll be able to sleep in for the second Friday in a row. The woes of being a working adult T_T (my pocket stays happy though~I've been taking as much OT as possible while the opportunity is open. I nearly forgot to include, I started a new job earlier this year!)...on the creator news front, I've decided to experiment with circle lenses instead of pure eye color. I'll be using a brown eye base for them. Also put out a few skins ~ these are more of a fantasy nature, to revisit why I even got into making them. I'm thinking of some nail art next! This month I've been on a huge nail art binge IRL. In fact I'm busy removing my polish/tips as I type this out ^^" clearing the way for a simple/elegant new year style

So I decided to buy a couple of badge slots. I didn't sell off all of my credits since I knew the majority would be pawned off at a loss, plus I temporarily allowed VIP to lapse again (I'm serious about EDC tickets next month~ every penny counts, ha ha). Catching up on some really old projects, huzzah ^^! While I was at it I decided to go ahead and update some of my older badges too. Since apparently my skill level has improved the tiniest bit. The "broken" badge has been completely updated, as the original character I used actually meant broken in the more literal sense (I was aware of this but I couldn't find a closer translation at the time ^^;) The new version is now a more figurative meaning, and is actually pronounced Sui as the title of the song which inspired it. I still have 4 other blank ones that haven't been addressed yet, alas x.x but I plan to make those not for autogrant anyway. Truth be told, while I enjoy badges Simultaneously I'm not into hoarding ^^; so I do prefer the anonymity of certain items.

How about an update on dev stuff ~ so I've been a busy bee for the first time in a long while o.o EDC is coming up ...I don't think I'll be able to go this year as I don't have the funds for it (cry). Technically I do but I want to bring my boyfriend along >~< however he'll be going away at the start of the month so he may not have the ability to pay for the weekend pass too. Playing it by ear though ^^" . But all the same, I'm still in the festival spirit! I started making some rave stuff; although what with the IMVU announcement I'll admit I'm a bit hesitant about continuing to submit to my catalogue. I've made quite a few errors with my baby doll over time ^^; so I suppose I'll wait until the dust settles so to speak before I continue to plow along. Some other stuff in the works, disney princess inspired rave clothing ._. ~ and if you've also noticed I've put my old skins through another overhaul. While I've kind of gone for the realistic type of thing, I still intend to go back to the original reason I wanted to start skins to begin with (a lot of fanciful styles are not made to include my preferred darker tones as well ~.~). Also, I'm thinking of nixing my FB like page for a regular acc; for whatever reason I can't switch back to my original acc (to be able to add friends and such). The new one will also include any and all updates for all my dollies.

Lazy face ~ that's pretty much what's up right now, ha ha ^^; or I guess technically not so lazy. Since the last update, I've pretty much gotten into the swing of working seven days a week thing. I didn't get to go to that nail salon D: it turned out to be a little corner of some kind of a market place in Greenwich Village, so by the time I made it there it was booked up for the day. I did however find another place luckily that did a cute design for me ^^" (I'm so girly as far as nail art is concerned). In general the laziness is just about hopping on the computer. I'm most likely to be found reading a book or on my PS ...though! I was reading an issue of Gothic Beauty magazine during my downtime at work earlier, and a few designs really inspired me to hop around to making a few things. I'll be milling around between dollies as it strikes my fancy this evening, for a little bit :) maybe some nail art for Mistral too, as I'm still in such a nautical mood.

A lot has been going on (as usual) ! I've got a new job hooray ~ getting that much closer to where I want to be in life. But I'm still hanging around the bookstore on my days off for what I hope are obvious reasons. Finally got around to requesting a new homepage again too, hooray ~ I wanted to mellow things out a bit this time around. As for other things ~ I went to EDC NYC (technically NJ since the stadium it was held at is approx 40 mins away from me) with mister James :) we had a lot of fun. I'm especially glad he enjoyed it cos he's not terribly privy to the EDM world. We decided next year we're gonna go to it in Vegas and make a week's vacation out of it. I'm excited ^^ not really doing anything extravagant in the near future however, other than trying out a nail salon in the city towards the end of the month. Feeling a bit indulgent :P last month I actually submitted a fair amount of products ♥ and earned my pro tier back. But I'll probably lose it again, ha ha. Maybe I will create some more or also work on these empty badge slots I'd had lying around for the past year

So, mixed news ^^; I decided after such a prolonged period of inactivity, Dolce Triad has now been deleted x.x I haven't really been feeling up to updating in all honesty :/ what little time I had I would generally spend catching up with friends (and even that in itself can be sporadic ^^;) But not all the news is bad! On a better note, here's to another birthday passed somewhat successfully :P I had to work the entire week but a stroke of fate allowed me the opportunity to go out with my not so secret crush over this weekend ._. it was wonderful. And today I've resolved to try to get back into creating (after little over a year of little to no activity). As of the moment my primary focus will be on nail art (though I haven't shunned my to do list!), mainly because I have been practicing on my new hand model irl as well as my own nails :) sometimes I'll post my new concoctions here ~ and I may consider opening another thread on the forums if I end up putting out enough products (but who knows ...I spent over three hours working on my first set of the new batch of nails lol!). And my catalogue is slowly receiving a much needed face lift. To those who actually do follow my updates, tell me what you think about the new icons♥

I'm still alive :P I feel like it's becoming more of a habit now to post things such as this T-T but I've been dropping off the face of the Earth more often (as I'd previously warned). For the few of you who actually notice these long periods of absence ...mostly it's due to the fact that now in my new job I tend to have less free time than before ^^" (but on a random side note, I am also trying to find something better or within my field)...though, even my free time doesn't quite count as such since I'm always working on something or another T-T! I am aiming for next Friday to possibly finish off Helba's priestess series and my CL/Gizibe tribute ...and at some point I will get around to filling in these 4 blank badges I've been sitting on since last month x.x all in due time

Wuuu ~ so I moved now ^-^ I'm a little surprised with myself I actually unpacked most of everything I'd brought with me when I got here last night ._. but happy I guess since it's less of a burden getting the other little things out of the way over the week. I'll still be largely offline I think however >~< wanna catch up with old friends and spend some time reacquainting myself with the town (esp spending a lot of time in NYC since it's so close ^^;) Even I lived here before it's different when you're an adult and able to move around with greater freedom, ha ha ...when I do return here I feel I will probably do so as Helba

Just a note x.x I realised I fell behind on many things again ^^; I am sorry for that. Seem like my motivation has been on the decline continuously, now. I am still very much available to speak with, however sometimes may be several days before I respond anything ~.~. On another note, however, I recently got back into playing the musics again ^^; maybe I will start back on adding them in the near future

So I got my new page up finally hooray ♥ thanks always to Yoshi-san for her wonderful work ^-^ and putting up with my million and one ideas, ha ha. So I'm still on the "less than active" trend ...mostly now because I'm moving next month ^^; going back to NJ. Hopefully once I've managed to save enough I will be able to move towards what I really want (first, to get my own apartment in NYC) - I don't know why, but something about being in NYC always makes me really happy. Especially at night, compared to Boston it's so lively ~ hoping that my next update will be to say I've finally achieved this near future goal :P

Well, we're all in one piece, ha ha :P (but seriously though, so many jokes about that I do not really intend to add to the bunch :x) while I'm not going o lie, still battling those things that have plagued me the past few months ...I still have some fight left in me, as the saying goes ^^; with Christmas around the corner, I decided to work on a fun little outfit set (in honor of my forum thread, found here. I am really pleased with how the set is coming along ^^" and glad also that I did not give up on it

While things don't really seem to be looking up at all right now, I am trying my best to keep a strong will, and look upon another day with a smile. After all, what is life without a few (sometimes large) obstacles in your way? For this month, I am going to focus a lot on early styles such as those from Baroque or Rococo period. I'm not really one to go posting my problems out and such, to people. Especially since, I know that we all have problems, it's just a matter of how each person deals with it ....I won't go into all the details, because it already took a lot out of me just to share this with people ...basically, while I graduated and all, I still owe 5 credits to complete my degree. However, because it's only 5 credits, I have to pay out of my own pocket (you need at least 6 credits to be eligible for financial aid, go figure). I had a payment plan set up but they basically messaged me today saying that at this point, the full amount is due and I can't get my diploma until they are paid. I decided to open customs, and I will continue to submit products as I have the time. I cannot say enough thanks to those of you who have already lent me your support in any way that you could, and I will continue to thank those of you who stop by my page and actually take the time to read this ....thanks again ...

I am happy to have my old computer back up and running again! Though technically it's kind of new now, since I had to install a new Hard drive and windows 7. I decided in light of all the new, I would also try a completely new desktop layout ^^ as a result I've put it on my to do list, to learn theme file creation so I can make more pretty and unique desktop layouts to share with everyone ^^ (but keep in mind, just adding the basic theme takes a bit of patience ..and even more if you want to take the desktop changing as far as I did ^^")

* Just updating a bit on the Kana thing I brought up awhile ago. It's a very slow work in progress considering how little I am online but I am working out a way to create a system of Katakana lettering that you can use to write your own names ^^; "Katakana" is typically used to characterise words foreign to Japanese language. For example, "Mistral" is a word of Middle French/Latin origin (although my choice of this avatar name comes from the anime .hack//SIGN :P).
ミストラル is the Katakana translation of 'Mistral'. In Romaji (phonetic translation to our latin letter system), this actually says 'Misutoraru' Broken down in to sounds each character is as follows (I also put them in the badge descriptions for the characters I did submit already, but wanted to break down other examples for whenever I manage to get a decent 'alphabet') -
ミ - 'Mi' pronounce like 'Me'. Can be used in anything that might mimic the same sound when pronounced in Japanese (like Emily, or Amy)
ス - 'su' pronounce like 'Sue'. Shorten the 'u' sound slightly when saying this. Examples where else you may see this are in names like 'Chris'
ト - 'to' pronounce like 'tow', but with less emphasis on the w sound. Example, used in 'Tom'
ラ - 'ra' to pronounce - roll the 'r' slightly. The 'a' is like an 'ah' sound, shortened h. Example, used in 'Randy'
ル - 'ru' As pronounced above 'R' is slighly rolled. The 'u' is like 'oo' with shortened second o. The simplest way to think of how else this may be used (I hope at least ^^") are things with an 'L' ending sound. Ex, Adele.
Expanded explanation of latin "L": In Japanese, there is no literal character for the standalone 'L'. Instead, 'R' sounds typically replace this depending on the English equivalent of the word. These sounds are 'Ra', 'Ri' 'Ru', "Re", and 'Ro'. In the first example taken from my name above, 'Ra' can also be found in words like 'Lala' or 'Lamia'. 'Ru', also found in my name, is usually used for any words that have what's known as Light L in English. Both "Mistral" and "Adele" use a light L sound.

I know this is quite a lofty endeavor considering the fact that there are so many characters and variations. But I enjoy learning, and teaching as well ^-^ so I hope that this will help at least a little bit to understand at least one of the three main character types used in the Japanese language :D please keep submitting names too, so that I can try to start drawing up more commonalities ~! If you're serious about learning I recommend Rosetta Stone :) I've tried a lot of things over time, while admittedly I am busy often - I was able to pick up a lot more quickly, especially with reading and writing with the software than by using any other books or dictionaries.



*For the longest while I've had some empty badge slots sitting about. I had an idea that came to me from an anime series I really enjoyed watching. Won't name it as I've been thinking there will probably be some kind of guessing game involved to get this one ^^; be on the look out :P also! last year's EDC badge has temporarily been hidden, as I intend to update it with a new image for this year. I want to try doing the owl head but I'm not sure if it will come out looking good on a small canvas ~.~ we'll see what happens when I start drawing it ^^;



*So there's an idea I'd been playing around with in my mind for quite awhile but it would be a little difficult to do - for this I'll need a bit of assistance...I would really like to be able to give one the option to "spell out" names using kana (as I've begun to do with my own name) ...since characters are generally consistent of sounds rather than a single letter, I'd like to collect commonly used sounds to hopefully make this work :P Where do you come in? very simple ^-^ just give me a list of names (can be yours, loved ones, nicknames, w/e but obviously no avi names with XxX or 0's & what have you) - from there I can begin putting together a list and posting their respective characters ~
